

Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services has taken delivery of the first three vessels in a series of 10 diesel-electric, shallow-draught AHTS vessels. The ABS-classed Rawabi 209 was delivered by Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding in December, while Rawabi 213 was launched in August at the Shin Yang Shipbuilding facility, and Rawabi 215 was delivered by Jing Jiang Nanyang Shipbuilding in November.
The new builds have an LOA of 64 meters, a beam of 16 meters, a draught of 3.5 meters, a depth of six meters, and a deadweight of 2,500 tonnes. A diesel-electric propulsion system, consisting of a Cummins K50-DM main engine and azimuth thrusters, delivers a maximum speed of 13.8 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots, and a bollard pull of 55 tonnes. The deck equipment includes a three-tonne crane and an anchor handling winch. The AHTS vessels have accommodation for 28 crew members.
